GB-CHC-202918-CHDA47Oxfam GBCoordination of Humanitarian Assistance to conflict-affected persons in ChadOxfam GB has been working in Eastern Chad since 2004 when the initial refugee influx arrived from the Darfur region of Sudan. To date we have been involved in the setting up of the water, sanitation and public health promotion services and activities with all crosscutting strategies (advocacy, protection, coordination of INGO work,...) in 9 out of the 12 existing refugee camps, IDP sites and host communities. This project is developed to capture 90%of the costs of the Abéché and N'djamena support office. It should be considered as an integral part of all other projects which are part of the overall PIP for Eastern Chad. The number of water facilities will be increased by building or rehabilitating water points, setting up a water point maintenance and upkeep system (training/retraining independent repairers, setting up a network for the distribution of Manually Operated Pump (MOP) spare parts, etc.), promoting good hygiene and nutrition practices, and increasing the number and use of family and public latrines. Result 2: The displaced/returning populations and vulnerable hosts are able to identify, respond to and mitigate risks and threats to protection. Basic community structures (local committees, mothers' clubs, community focal points, etc.) form the cornerstone of the implementation of protection actions. To this end, training sessions will be held for the communities covering a variety of topics (humanitarian and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) principles,22 identification and analysis of threats to protection, functioning of referral and complaints mechanisms, community -based advocacy), as well as capacity building to better conduct their roles within the communities. Result 3: Food security for very vulnerable households of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), returnees and hosts is improved during lean season and their livelihoods are revived. Women and young people (IDPs and host communities) are the gateway for achieving these results through improving their access to Income Generating Activities (IGAs), land usage and temporary job creation.Oxfam GBSwedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)Oxfam GBstart-actualend-plannedOxfam GBSupporter RelationsSupporter Relations+44 (0) 1865 47 3727enquiries@oxfam.org.ukhttp://www.oxfam.org.uk/http://policy-practice.oxfam.org.uk/Oxfam House, John Smith Drive, Oxford, OX4 2JYChadLife and Security1876423406691Income Spent April 2018 - June 2018Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB417425Income Spent October 2018 - December 2018Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB194921Income Spent April 2019 - June 2019Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB193336Income Spent October 2019 - December 2019Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB401659Income Spent July 2020 - September 2020Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB432498Income Spent January 2021 - March 2021Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB-182287Income Spent October 2021 - December 2021Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB327Income Spent January 2022 - March 2022Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB406691.26Disbursement April 2018 - June 2018Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)417425.22Disbursement October 2018 - December 2018Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)194921.05Disbursement April 2019 - June 2019Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)193335.74Disbursement October 2019 - December 2019Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)401658.79Disbursement July 2020 - September 2020Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)432497.63Disbursement January 2021 - March 2021Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)-182287.02Disbursement October 2021 - December 2021Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)12180.6Disbursement January 2022 - March 2022Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)GB-CHC-202918-CHHA27Oxfam GBPA contribution to Chad RRM via Sida HPAGeneral objective: Contribute to reducing morbidity and mortality due to acute malnutrition in the districts of N'Djamena facing the nutrition crisis. Specific objective: Improve access to services and basic knowledge in relation to water, sanitation, hygiene and nutrition for the communities and households affected by the nutrition crisis. Result 1: Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) at the Therapeutic Feeding Units (TFUs) and Ambulatories Nutrition Centres (ANCs) (Oxfam): Improved hygiene and care conditions at nutrition facilities. Oxfam will work in the community in the 7th and 9th arrondissements and at 10 healthcare facilities as well as the TFU at the Mother and Child hospital. Activities: Distribution of 2,600 WaSH kits to malnourished child -mother pairs and to pregnant or lactating women (PLW) These WaSH kits will only be distributed to malnourished child -mother pairs admitted to the TFUs and ANCs targeted by Oxfam. The kits will comprise: 6 x 200g bars of soap, 1 litre of bleach and 1 kettle. The kits will not be distributed when the mother -child pair is admitted to the care facility, as measures will be taken at the TFUs and ANCs to improve access to chlorinated water and handwashing with soap. The WaSH kits will be issued to these pairs when they leave the TFU/ANC with the aim of enabling the mothers to continue the good practices of chlorinating drinking water and handwashing with soap in their respective households. The other reason for distributing these kits when they leave the TFU/ANC is also that, if they receive the kits when they are first admitted to the facility, some mothers do not stay for the full course of treatment of their malnourished children. For polygamous households, the kit will be given to the mother of the malnourished child admitted to the TFU. This distribution will be preceded by a number of awareness sessions on correct use of the kits. The kits will be given to the targeted TFUs/ANCs in advance so that each mother -child pOxfam GBSwedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)Oxfam GBstart-actualend-actualOxfam GBSupporter RelationsSupporter Relations+44 (0) 1865 47 3727enquiries@oxfam.org.ukhttp://www.oxfam.org.uk/http://policy-practice.oxfam.org.uk/Oxfam House, John Smith Drive, Oxford, OX4 2JYChadLife and Security200684200684Income Spent October 2018 - December 2018Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB200683.62Disbursement October 2018 - December 2018Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)GB-CHC-202918-CHHA28Oxfam GBEmergency response for communities affected by Covid-19 in N'DjamenaImprove access to food and the nutritional situation and scale -up Covid -19 prevention measures and the protection of communities against violence in Nd'jamenaOxfam GBSwedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)Oxfam GBstart-actualend-plannedOxfam GBSupporter RelationsSupporter Relations+44 (0) 1865 47 3727enquiries@oxfam.org.ukhttp://www.oxfam.org.uk/http://policy-practice.oxfam.org.uk/Oxfam House, John Smith Drive, Oxford, OX4 2JYChadLife and Security362841411380Income Spent July 2020 - September 2020Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB-48539Income Spent October 2021 - December 2021Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB411379.79Disbursement July 2020 - September 2020Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)-48539.25Disbursement October 2021 - December 2021Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)GB-CHC-202918-CHHA29Oxfam GBRéponse d'urgence aux populations affectées par les inondations de 2020 Covid19Contribute to the reduction of mortality and morbidity of affected and vulnerable populations in the face of floods in a covid -19 context through an integrated / SA / Protection and Gender response Specific objectives: The populations of areas affected by floods in Ndjamena in 2020 and already weakened by the Covid -19 crisis, improve their food situation, strengthen their capacity to identify disaster, security and protection risks linked to flooding and to protect themselves.Oxfam GBSwedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam Partner(s)start-actualend-plannedOxfam GBSupporter RelationsSupporter Relations+44 (0) 1865 47 3727enquiries@oxfam.org.ukhttp://www.oxfam.org.uk/http://policy-practice.oxfam.org.uk/Oxfam House, John Smith Drive, Oxford, OX4 2JYChadLife and Security184476216249Income Spent January 2021 - March 2021Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB-31772Income Spent October 2021 - December 2021Swedish Int'l Development CooperationOxfam GB216248.73Disbursement January 2021 - March 2021Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)-31772.31Disbursement October 2021 - December 2021Oxfam GBOxfam Partner(s)GB-CHC-202918-CHHA30Oxfam GBContribute to the community resilience and self-protection of the displaced popuExpected Result/target 1: Men, women, girls and boys of IDPs and vulnerable hosts are able to identify, respond to and mitigate risks and threats to protection.
