More specifically, the project will strive to establish legislative and policy framework for gender sensitive governance in local governments, support effective functioning of institutional mechanism on gender equality at municipality level and promote greater participation of women in decision making.  Output 1: Legal and policy framework is set up to ensure effective functioning of the gender equality institutional mechanism at municipality level. Output 2: Municipality Gender equality personnel are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge and have established effective relations and networks with NGO/CBOs to enable effective functioning of institutional mechanisms on gender equality in municipalities.
