GB-CHC-202918-LACB32Oxfam GBThis project is part of a wider response in Ecuador, with the Start Fund, Oxfam will concentrate the humanitarian response on areas in the north of the Manabí province, one of the areas most affected by the earthquake. While aid is being provided to the cities, smaller towns and rural areas are receiving little to no attention. Actions will focus on WASH, taking into account women's differentiated needs as well as the particular needs of children. Oxfam will contribute by making the water points more efficient and ensuring the potablization of the water collected. This will reduce the risk of water -borne diseases and also reduces the considerable waiting time at the water points.
