The project four results reflect different levels of intervention on: 1) Personal level: poor and vulnerable women, including women Syrian refugees, will have increased voice and confidence to claim access to an effective legal system. The main approach adopted to achieve this result is women's empowerment, which is understood as enhancing knowledge and skills and transforming attitudes of women in the target areas. Provision of legal aid, mediation and psycho -social support services will also be used as empowerment tools for the most vulnerable. 2) On Community level: the project will enable vulnerable and poor women to be increasingly supported by more gender aware communities that promote equal access to justice. This will be achieved through awareness raising, dialogue and community mobilization targeting both men and women, and engaging community leaders. 3) On systemic level: as a result of the project, policy makers and legal stakeholders will increasingly take action toward a more equitable and accessible justice system. This result will be achieved through regular engagement and networking with key stakeholders of the judicial system in each country as well as evidence -based advocacy for policy change, for effective policy implementation and higher gender sensitivity across the justice sector. 4) On regional level: women's rights Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in the Middle East will foster engagement of communities, legal stakeholders and policy makers around women's access to justice. This will be achieved by two outputs, first increasing the capacity of WROs to advance women's leadership and participation, and secondly by facilitating them to play a more effective role in collectively influencing decision -makers. To support these changes, Oxfam will capitalise on its global networks and alliances as well as its access to decision -making spaces that remain challenging for WROs to gain access to. We will also use different models of partnership, like sub -granting, strategic alliances and coalitions, and work with a diverse body of actors including grass -roots organisations, well -established WROs, INGOs, UN agencies, and regional bodies. By ensuring that Poor and vulnerable women in Yemen are increasingly enabled to claim their rights using formal and informal justice providers.
